OLIVER QUARTLY PHOTOGRAPHY.

What Photography is to me.
It’s how I explore the world, connect with people, and make sense of it all. As a dad of two living in Ealing with a love for adventure, I’m always chasing honest, meaningful moments—whether on a mountain trail or in the heart of the city. It’s not just about images; it’s about the story behind them.
Experience.
I’m a London-based photographer with a strong reputation for creating honest, emotive imagery. My work has been published internationally and continues to reach wide audiences through both editorial and commercial platforms.
Much of my work is rooted in the outdoors — from high-adrenaline shoots in remote locations to natural, candid portraits in wild and open spaces. I’ve had the privilege of working with clients such as Red Bull, Volvo, Morgan Motor Company, Paul Smith, and leading political parties, producing content that combines energy, authenticity, and strong visual storytelling.
Photography has been part of my life since my early teens, when I joined a school photography club and began documenting the world around me — from everyday adventures to long-distance cycling trips across Europe and into Canada. That enthusiasm followed me through my Nursing degree at the University of East Anglia, where I freelanced as a photographer alongside my studies, including a year abroad in British Columbia.
In 2016, I launched Oliver Quartly Photography, specialising in relaxed, characterful portraits of families and children, as well as clean, engaging product photography. Over time, I developed a love for photojournalism, which led to front-cover features in The Times, The Telegraph, The New York Times, and others.
My images have since appeared in books, magazines, and global campaigns. Whether I’m on assignment or photographing my own family, I bring the same eye for story, spontaneity, and connection. Outside of photography, I’m most often found outdoors — skiing, motorbiking, or exploring somewhere off the beaten track.
